Manuel Tulipa has replaced Toni Conceição at the helm of rock bottom Trofense, newly promoted to the top tier. Toni, who brought the club up from the Liga de Honra, was sacked after three straight defeats. Tulipa was until now coach at Honra side Estoril Praia.

Belenenses' president Fernando Sequeira resigned on Monday in response to protests from fans following the club's poor start to the season.
