Former Boavista coach Jaime Pacheco has been appointed coach of Belenenses, replacing Casemiro Mior, who was sacked at the weekend. Pacheco left Boavista at the beginning of this season. His contract with the Lisbon club will be initially until the end of the season.

Boavista of the Liga de Honra (second tier) have an average attendance this season (Liga and Taça da Liga) of just 3,331, but this is still greater than eight teams in the top division. Trofense (2,789), Vitória de Setúbal (2,762), Académica (2,621), Paços de Ferreira (2,377), Belenenses (1,826), Naval (1,162), Nacional (1,025) and Estrela da Amadora (913) all have lower averages.

Top of the table are Benfica with an average of 56,728 (although from the clássicos against Sporting and FC Porto), while Porto have 36,512. Sporting are third with 29,502, followed by Vitória de Guimarães (16,259), Sporting Braga (10,242), Marítimo (5,299), Rio Ave (4,920) and Leixões (4,491). Estoril of the Liga de Honra are the professional club with the lowest average: just 379. (See the Liga's attendance table). Source: Liga/Maisfutebol.
