Sports daily A Bola has reported that coach José Mourinho is in Milan with his agent Jorge Mendes, negotiating a contract to join Inter Milan for the coming season.

The same newspaper has also reported that Manchester United's Assistant Coach, Carlos Queiróz, is in line for the vacant Benfica job, although Alex Ferguson has said that he doesn't expect the Portuguese coach to leave the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals in Manchester United's win over Bolton Wednesday for his 32^nd and 33^rd official goals of the season, beating George Best's 32 in 1967/68. To definitively enter the annals of United's history, CR will have to beat the players below:

The USA beat Denmark 2-1 in the Final to win the XVth Mundialito of Women's football, held in the Algarve. Portugal finished 10^th after losing to China on penalties.

Carlos Brito has been sacked as coach of struggling Leixões. Sunday's defeat at Naval was the last straw for the board of Directors, especially after fans staged demonstrations calling for Brito's head. António Pinto, assistant to Brito, will take charge as caretaker. Brito is the seventh Liga coach to leave his club this season.

Fernando Chalana, caretaker at Benfica after José António Camacho's resignation on Sunday, will stay in charge until the end of the season, assisted by another former Benfica great Shéu Han.

FC Porto president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa has said that although nothing has been signed, the club will extend coach Jesualdo Ferreira's contact for another season.

Paulo Duarte, sacked by União de Leiria in November, is the new coach of Burkina Fasso, 109^th in the FIFA rankings.

Vitória de Guimarães have offered to pay for the damage caused by the club's fans to Sporting's team coach after Sunday's Liga match, which Vitória won 2-0. Three teenagers were arrested following the stoning of the bus.

José António Camacho has resigned as coach of Benfica after the 2-2 draw at home to the Liga's bottom club União de Leiria. "I believe it's better for the team," he said. "The motivation that I see in the players isn't normal. We've drawn seven games at home and lost one. I've spoken to the president and told him that maybe the situation wasn't going to get better. Benfica needs more, and that depends on the reaction of the players; I hope they'll produce more with another coach." Fernando Chalana will sit on the bench as caretaker for the upcoming games.

Belenenses have had to forfeit their win earlier in the season over Naval in which the striker Meyong scored a penalty. Meyong had already played for two other clubs this season and was thus prohibited from appearing for another club. Apart from the three lost points (which go to Naval), Belenenses have been docked a further three as a penalty. The club are to appeal the decision.
