Jaime Pacheco will stay on at crisis-torn Boavista for at least another season, it was announced on Thursday. The club faces possible relegation for alleged match-fixing in the 2003/04 season, but instead may 'only' be docked nine points.

Various trophies which were shipped out to Angola to be on display during Benfica's mini-tour there in May have been held up in customs in Luanda awaiting clearance. They include the two European Cups won by Benfica in the early 60s.

Former FC Porto central defender Jorge Costa has been made coach of Algarve second tier club Olhanense. Costa had a less than successful spell at Sporting Braga in his first coaching job, which ended with a sacking early last season.

Hoaxer Sérgio Silva, who in April offered to lend Boavista 38 million euros, has been handed a two-year suspended prison sentence.

José António Linhares has received a three-year suspended sentence for defrauding the tax authorities at the time he was president of Salgueiros.

As from next season, referees will have to mention in their match report any 'souvenirs' they receive from clubs. The move follows the match-fixing scandal ('Apito Dourado') involving, among others, FC Porto and Boavista , that has shaken Portuguese football to the core.

José Mourinho has officially been announced as Inter Milan's coach for the next three years, taking over from Roberto Mancini. Mourinho's assistants will be the same ones he had at FC Porto and Chelsea: Rui Farias, Silvino and André Vilas Boas.

Brazilian coach Lori Sandri will take over from compatriot Sebastião Lazaroni at Marítimo. In Brazil, the 59-year-old has been in charge at Botafogo, Atlético Mineiro, Goiás, Paraná, Sertãozinho and Internacional.

Lito Vidigal, brother of the Livorno player Vidigal, will be presented as Estrela da Amadora coach on Tuesday. Lito is still at Ribeirão of the second division.

Humberto Coelho , once Portugal coach, is to be appointed coach of the Tunisia national side on a three-year contract.
